Internet is something you use for studying, working or playing.
It’s useful for the school, but not only – It allows you to be unknown, so use let you know some simple rules, so your children and you can use Internet in a safe way.

First of all, we suggest you to spend a little bit of time with your child, so you can learn together how to use Internet.

You have the opportunity to look after your child and you discover how internet can be useful and funny.

It’s a good idea if you install your PC in the place of the house, where the family spents the most part of the time.

In this way your children are not alone when they use Internet- you can encourage then to comunicate you if they find something wrong.

Furthermore, you can give importance to those sites for children. In this way you help your children to use Internet in a clever way..

Don’t consider your PC as TV, or as a babysitter.
You have to decide how many time your children can spend on Internet. And it’s better that someone (parents or relative) is near your child when they sail in Internet.

It’s important that you teach your children how to use the e-mail.
If you have some doubt, use the password, so the children can’t read the e-mails when you are net present, but we suggest you to be present, in particulary when the children are young.

It’s better you are present when you read the messages and always control the enclosed. Read them only when they are send by known people or by companies you know well.
Remember that the enclosed could have virus.
If you don’t know the sender of the mail, throw it away.

On Internet you can find some situation in which it’s asked you to give name, surname, etc.
Teach your children, not to give to anybody their personal information (name, surname, picture, phone, name of school, etc.).
They can do it only if you agree or, better, only if you are present.
Don’t give to your children information about the number of your credit card and, generally, about identify card. These information can be used without the knoledge of you for shopping, booking, etc.

Teach your children to use chat room in a clever way.
A chat is something nice, because boys and girls of all the world are in contact.
This is useful, because the kids can improve the languages they are studying at school.
Let your children use all the protected chats, they are controlled, and don’t permit them to use the “free” chats, or those visited only by grown-up people (expecially those about sex).
If groups of kids or friends of these chats decide to meet, don’t permit to your children to go.
They can go only if their parents are present or if with the children, there is a person you know very well.

You can know the people and have your own opinion about the people of these groups.
You can be agree if they can speak together with your children about Internet – you can be informed about their interest and what they visit when they sail in Internet.
