Gnam
Gnam: the gnome

In
the shadow of a great mushroom a little gnome is having a rest. The pointed
hat is putdown over his eyes, the long beard lays on his stomach, he has
a wonderful red jacket and a pair of ankle-boots. His beard stands up
and bends down thanks to the slow and sleepy rhythm of his breathing.
The gnome's name is Gnam Gnam.
I know what you are thinking now: he is a gnome as the others, but it
is not as you can imagine. I'm going to tell you what happens.
Gnam Gnam is very greedy and he likes to eat everything: strawberries,
blueberries, raspberries... Gnam Gnam eats everything and in the wood,
where he lives, the other gnomes don't find anything to eat and their
landers are always empty, or they have to go out of their village, if
they want to look for food.
The poor Gnam Gnam doesn't know what to do, and he has a problem: he becomes
more and more roundish. The tailor has to lengthen his trousers and jackets,
and also the shoemaker has always to lengthen Gnam Gnam's belt.
One day, the poor, hopeless gnomes decide to meet all together: they have
to discuss and make a decision.
They meet all together under the biggest tree in the wood and they begin
their discussion:
'My idea is not to lengthen his trousers any more...' - says a gnome.
'No! No!' - says another one - let's not make him any longer belt. In
this way he cannot go out. Never a gnome has been seen without his belt
on his jacket!'
'I have an idea!!!!' - screams another gnome.... but what kind of idea?
We tried everything, but we found no solution'.
Night
is coming over and the gnomes can't decide anything. They are very discouraged
but, suddenly, they hear the wood-fairy's voice. She reached the gnomes
and tells them:
'I heard all discussed and maybe I have a solution. Listen to me!'
The gnomes are very curious and they stay under the tree, because they
want to hear what the wood-fairy has to tell them.
In the meantime, Gnam Gnam, unware of everything, is quietly sleeping.
He is dreaming big biscuits, they are jumping all around him, they are
diving into the milk and they are rolling into his mouth. Roast mushrooms,
slices of bread are dancing together and they are merrily sliding into
the deepness of his throat. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries slide
and slide again, slipping at the corners of his mouth, and they slide
down, into his stomach.
When Gnam Gnam wakes up, he sits down at the table and he tries to eat
something, but he is unable to eat anything: he has eaten too much when
he was sleeping. This is the wood-fairy's spell.
What to do?
Do you want to help the poor gnome Gnam Gnam to work his problem out????
